Counselling

My practice uses an integrative approach: I believe in the uniqueness of each individual and that different approaches may work at different times. I will help you gain insight into the thoughts, beliefs, emotions and experiences that might unconsciously impact how you live your life and help you to develop a compassionate understanding of why you have developed certain behaviours and thinking patterns and what can be done differently. I work in a trauma-informed practice and enjoy exploring attachment. Whatever approach we choose, compassion is always at the centre of my practice.

I seek to provide a trusting and meaningful relationship, creating a safe and gentle space which is yours. I believe in the power of healing and growth which the therapeutic relationship can provide; in not judging, criticising or offering advice but instead through allowing space to feel heard and to express and acknowledge the feelings and difficulties life can bring. The theraputic relationship provides a secure base, where we can learn different ways of being relationally and build safety within ourselves, which can be transferred onto relationships in the outside world. My practice is collaborative, working at your pace and towards your goals.
